A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii),(iii) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate have been issued to him by the Govt. of India. Note: 1. The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Govt. of India guidelines.
2. An ex-serviceman who has once joined a Government job on civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-Serviceman for his re-employment including a job in the Public Sector Undertaking ceases to enjoy ex-serviceman status for further employment.
3. All persons eligible for age relaxation under 4 ( iv ) above must produce the domicile certificate at the time of interview, from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir, to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989.
4. Above relaxation are available only if the candidates fulfil the various conditions prescribed in the Govt. of India orders and instructions in this regard. To claim age relaxation, reserved category candidates should submit a copy of the community certificate.
5. Only an ex-Serviceman who stands discharged from Service on or before 31-12-2010 is eligible to apply.

Definition of Ex-serviceman (EXSM) :
(i) Ex-servicemen: Only those candidates shall be treated as Ex-Servicemen who fulfill the revised definition as laid down in Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Deptt. Of Personnel & Administrative Reforms notification No. 36034/5/85/Estt (SCT) dated 27.10.1986 as amended from time to time.
(ii) Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DISXS) : Ex-Servicemen who while serving in Armed Forces of the Union were disabled in operation against the enemy or in disturbed areas shall be treated as DISXS.
(iii) Dependents of Ex-Servicemen killed in action (DXS) : Servicemen killed in the following operations would be deemed to have been killed in action attributable to military service (a) war , (b) war like operations or Border Skirmishes either with Pakistan on cease fire line or any other country , (c) fighting against armed hostilities in a counter insurgency environment, viz.Nagaland, Mizoram, etc. (d) serving with peace keeping mission abroad, (e) laying or clearance of mines including enemy mines as also mine sweeping operation between one month before and three months after conclusion of an operation, (f) frost bite during actual operations or during the period specified by the Government, (g) dealing with agitating para military forces personnel, (h) IPKF Personnel killed during the operations in Sri Lanka.

(1) Candidates still serving in Defence Services and desirous of applying under Ex-Servicemen category should submit a certificate from the competent authority that they would be released/retired on or before 30.06.2011.
(2) An Ex-servicemen candidates who has once joined the Govt. job on the civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-servicemen for his re-employment, his ex-serviceman status for the purpose of reemployment in job ceases.
(3) Ex-servicemen candidates who have already secured employment under the Central Govt. in Group 'C' & 'D' will be permitted the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group 'C'/ 'D' under the Central Govt. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Central Govt. jobs.

Definition: Physically Challenged Persons (PC) Definition of Categories of Disabilities: (a) An Orthopedically Challenged (OC) person is one suffering from Loco motor Disability or Cerebral Palsy Persons who suffer from not less than 40 % of relevant disability ( as certified by a Medical Board appointed by the Central/State Govt.) would be eligible for reservation in services/posts.
Loco motor Disability means disability of the bones joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.
Cerebral Palsy means a group of non progressive conditions of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the prenatal, peri-natal or infant period of development.
(b) Deaf & Hearing impaired (HI): The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non-functional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sound at all even with amplified speech Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies.
(c) Visually impaired (VI) . The visually impaired persons are those suffering from blindness of low vision. Blindness-refers to a condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions(i) total absence of sight (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 ( snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses (iii) Limitation of the field or vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse.

Low Vision: " Person with low vision" means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard reflective correction, but who uses or is potentially capable of suing vision for the planning or execution or a task with appropriate assistive device.
The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the written examination in all such cases where a scribe is used the following rules will apply.
The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe-
i) at his/her own cost.
ii) The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than the stipulated eligible criteria.
iii) Post code 1 to 3: The scribe can be from any academic discipline. The scribe should possess 60 % of lesser marks in his own academic stream.
iv) Post Code 04: The scribe can be from any academic discipline. The scribe should possess 50 % of lesser marks in his own academic stream.
v) Both the candidates as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe as mentioned above. Further in case, it later transpires that he/she did not fulfil any of the laid down eligibility criteria or suppress material facts, the candidates of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result for the written examination.
vi) Such candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination



( i ) Degree from a recognised university in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Economics and Accountancy and Chartered accountant.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in any Bank or Financial Institutions.


1 Information Technology
Degree from a recognised University in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/ Information Technology of its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC,OCP etc.
Experience: One year

2 Law Officer
Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate. Experience:
Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial institutions for a period not less than two years.

3 Marketing Officer
MBA in Marketing from any reputed institute.
Experience – one year

4 Agricultural Officer
Degree from a recognised University in any discipline in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience- Two years as an officer in Bank or Financial Institution.

5 Technical Officer.
Degree from a recognised university in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate. Experience - One year.

6 Security Officer- Degree from a recognised university in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate. Experience - The candidate should have worked as a security officer in any Bank or Financial Institution for a period not less than TWO years.
Desirable Experience: The persons possessing C certificate of NCC with a minimum of B Grade and / or who have served as Officer in the Indian Armed Forces would be preferred

7 Hindi Officer- Degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate and Hindi as a main subject at Degree level.

Experience : The candidate should have worked as a Hindi Officer for not less than two years in Bank or Financial Institution and should be proficient in Hindi/English translation and vice versa. Candidates with a Post Graduate degree in Hindi Literature with the above qualification and experience would be preferred.


(i) Bachelor degree of a recognised University in any discipline or its equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management Law, Economics and Accountancy.
(ii) Proficiency in local language, i.e. Hindi & English.
(iii) Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification.

The selection will be made on the basis of performance in written test and interview. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are received in time and who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be called for a written test, which will be of objective type comprising the following.

Note : i) There will be penalty for wrong answers, for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
ii) The marks obtained in the written test will be reckoned for merit ranking. Accordingly candidates will be called for interview based on merit. Depending upon the number of vacancies only those candidates who ranked sufficiency high in the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:3 ( Three time of the number of vacancies). Mere eligibility /pass in the test shall NOT vest any right for being called for interview.
iii) Minimum qualifying marks shall be 40 % in Written Test and relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks to be provided to SC/ST.
iv) Detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the" Acquaint Yourself" Booklet which will be sent to the candidates along with the call letters for the Written Examination.
v) Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded to them in the combined performance of written test and interview for General, Scheduled Caste, Schedules Tribe and Other special category separately.


The written test is tentatively fixed on the following dates. The exact date will be communicated to the candidates through call letter for the examination.


The written test will be scheduled at the following centres and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letter.
( i ) Request for change of Centre of Examination will NOT be entertained.
(ii) The Bank reserves the right to cancel any of the Centre/or add other Centres, depending on the response, administrative feasibility etc. The Bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate any Centre other than the one he/she has opted for and the right to waive any of the criteria for selection looking at the requirement and exigencies.

Pre-Examination Training for Office Assistant and JMGS I:
It is proposed to impart free Pre-Examination Training to SC/ST and Minority Community candidates at Moradabad tentatively. The Training Centre may also be changed at the discretion of the Bank. An eligible candidate who wishes to avail Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the application format. All expenses regarding travelling, boarding lodging etc. Will be borne by the candidate for attending the Pre-Examination Training Programme at the concerned training Centre.


Candidates are required to apply ON LINE through Bank's website www.prathamabank.org The guidelines for filling ON-LINE application are as under:-
# Candidate should have a valid personal e-mail id. In case, candidate does not have valid e-mail id, he/ she should create a new e-mail id. This e-mail id should be valid for the duration of the project.
# Candidates should have their Demand Draft, particulars of qualification, experience, if any ready before applying on-line, as the details are required to be entered in the on-line application. Please note that without valid Demand Draft/ Pay Order details, on-line registration of application will be summarily rejected.
# Demand Draft should be purchased on any date between 18-01-2011 and 17-02-2011 Please note that even if the last date for applying online are extended for any reason the dates for payment of fees will remain the same.
# Demand Draft should be for requisite amount and should be in favour of "Prathama Bank" payable at ' MORADABAD' only.
# Candidate's Name, Address, Registration Number, Post applied for and Name of the Centre should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Pay Order.
# After submission of application on-line, a system generated registration number and password will be allotted to the applicant. Thereafter, the candidate should obtain a system generated print out of the application.
# A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the printout of the filled in application at appropriate place and the applicant should sign across it. Then, send it by ordinary post to the designated post box number latest by 24-02-2011 ( Signed printout of the filled in application along with Demand Draft & other necessary certificates/ documents)
# Manual corrections in system generated print out of application will not be entertained and such applications will be rejected. If a candidate wishes to make any correction in the application, he/she is required to register again afresh with correct details and take fresh print out of application.
# There is a provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct the details in on-line application, if any. This Modification facility shall be available after 2 days of registration & up toModification will be allowed only 3 times. After the last date, no modification will be permitted. • Candidates serving in Government/Public Sector undertakings (including Banks) should produce no objection certificate from their employer, at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered.

Those who are still in defence service should submit certificate from Competent Authority that they will be relieved from defence services, in time, to enable the candidate to report for duty in the event of selection to work for the Bank.
5. Certified copy of Disability certificate issued by duly constituted Medical Board at District level incorporating therein the nature and extent of disability, in the case of Person with Disability (PWD ) candidates.
6. Bank Demand Draft/Bank Pay Order payable at MORADABAD in favour of PRATHAMA BANK – RECRUITMENT PROJECT - 2010.
7. Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts situated in MORADABAD and High Court Judicature at Allahabad.
8. Bank takes no responsibility for any certificate/remittance sent separately by candidates.
9. No candidate is permitted to use calculator, Mobile phones, pagers or any other such instruments during the examination. The candidates will appear for the written examination at the allotted centres at their expenses and risks and the Bank will not be responsible for any injury/loss etc., of any nature.
10. Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit their application well in time before the last date to avoid possible delay in postal transit. Applications received after the last date will be rejected.


(a) For SC/ST/OBC- District Magistrate / Addl. Distt. Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner / Addl. Dy. Commissioner/ Dy. Collector / First Class Stipendiary Magistrate / Sub- Division Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate / Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner/ Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate/ Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar/ Sub Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his / her family normally resides.
In OBC Category the appointment will be provisional and will subject to the community certificate being verified through the proper channel. If the verification reveals that the claim of the candidate to belong to Other Backward Classes or not to belong to creamy layer is false, his/her services will be terminated forthwith without assigning any further reasons and without prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provisions of Indian Penal Code for production of false certificate. The crucial date for this purpose will be last date of receipt of application.
(b) For Physically Challenged- the Competent Authority to issue Disability Certificate shall be a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central or State Govt. The Central/ State Govt. may constitute Medical Boards consisting of at least 3 members out of which one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing loco motor/ cerebral/visual/ hearing disability as the case may be.


Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or suppress any material information while filling up the application form and submitting the certified copies/ testimonials. At the time of written examination/ interview,
(i) If a candidate is found guilty of using unfair means during the test, or
(ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person, or
(iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet, answer sheet from the examination hall or
(iv) resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the selection, or
(v) obtaining support of his/her candidature by any means, such a candidate in addition to rendering him/ her liable to criminal prosecution,
a) To be disqualified from the examination/ interview for which he/she is a candidate,
b) To be debarred, either permanently or for a specific period from any examination or selection held by the Prathama Bank.
c) For termination of service, if he/she has already joined the Bank.
The Bank would be analyzing the response of a candidate with other appeared candidates to detect patterns of similarity. On the basis of such an analysis, if it is suspected that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/ valid, the Bank reserves the right to cancel his/her candidature.


All eligible candidates will be issued call letters at the correspondence address given by the candidates in their application form, which will be sent by post. An eligible candidates who do not receive the call letter by (i) 02/05/2011 for Post Code-1 to 3 "Officer Scale-I, II and III and (ii) 18/04/2011 for Post Code-2 "Office Assistant "should contact at the following address with details of his/her name, address, Xerox copy of the Demand Draft for the fee deposited alongwith a photograph pasted thereon, for obtaining duplicate call letters. Duplicate call letters will be issued between 10.30 A.M.to 2.30 P.M. as per the following schedule:-
